How to add/manage Job tags?

Job tags help organize and categorize Jobs more effectively. With the introduction of tag categories, tags are now easier to manage, search, and filter.

Tag Types

Tags can be created in two different types:

  1. Composite Tags: are the combination of a CATEGORY and a VALUE separated by a COLON, i.e. Well Type: Sour or County: Midland.  Composite tags can be created by entering both a category and a value. You have the flexibility to establish new categories while tagging; once a category is created, it will be available for future use. To select from available categories, simply click the downward-facing arrow in the category field.
  2. Simple Tags: are a text string, i.e. Yard 2. To create a simple tag, you can leave the category field empty and simply fill in the value field.

Adding Job Tags to new/existing Jobs

Step 1: In the dispatch hub, navigate to the "Jobs" section. If you are tagging an existing job, search for and select the job you wish to tag. For a new job, click on "New Job." In the modal that appears, scroll down until you find the "Add tags" option.

Step 2: A tags creation modal will appear. For a category tag, specify both the category and value fields. For a simple tag, fill in only the value field. Available tags that match your entry will appear as suggestions; if none are available, you can create a new tag by selecting the "New Tag" option.

Step 3: After filling in the fields, click the "+" sign to add your tag to the Job.

Step 4: To add multiple tags, repeat the previous steps by entering a new category and value for each tag, then click the "+" sign to include it. Once you have added all desired tags, click the "Save" button to confirm and save your changes.

Editing existing Job Tags

Step 1: Find the Job that you want to edit the tags for. Scroll down to the tags section and click on the edit button (represented by a pencil icon) located next to the tags.
Step 2: The edit tag screen will appear. To remove a tag, click the "X" icon next to the tag you wish to delete.

Step 3: After making any changes to the tags, a "Save" button will become visible. Click this button to apply your changes.
