How to streamline the visibility of price book items?

When adding new price book items, you can streamline their visibility by applying specific filters, ensuring that they only appear for the relevant jobs. This approach helps drivers avoid sifting through an extensive list of  Price book items, making their experience more efficient.

Using location tags

Using location tags is a smart way to filter your price book items! To assign a location tag to the pickup location of your price book item, simply click on the "Use Tags" button. From there, you can open the dropdown menu to see all the available location tags. Just check the one you’d like to add to your price book item; this will make sure that these price book items only show up for jobs with pickup locations that match your selected tag.

Using pickup locations

You can also use pickup locations to filter out your price book items. To do so, simply uncheck the use tags option and click on the dropdown option. This will show you the list of all available locations, from which you can select the pickup locations of all the jobs under which this price book item should show up.

Using destination location/tags

Both these filters also apply to destination locations. You can use location tags as well as actual locations as a filter to determine which jobs should display this price book item.

Note: You can combine location tags and specific locations for both pickup and destination locations. However, you can only apply one type of filter at a time for each location category.

Using a Service provider

You can set a condition for your line item to ensure it only appears for jobs associated with a specific service provider. This feature is particularly beneficial when you have varying rate agreements for different service providers, allowing you to filter out line items that are not relevant to the selected provider.

Using a resource type

Resource type is another great option to add to your line item, as this will ensure that only the jobs that come under the selected resource types display this price book item.

Using a date filter

You can also take advantage of a date filter to specify that this price book item is only visible for jobs that were completed before or after a certain date. This way, you can easily manage the relevance of your price book items based on timing!
